The Great One’s daughter has been benched – from Twitter, that is. Paulina Gretzky, first-born child of Canadian hockey royalty in Wayne Gretzky and his wife Janet Jones, has shut down her Twitter account in the wake of … shall we say? … rather racy photos that have made the rounds of the social media world.
“Having a nice sit down dinner with my dad about social media..haha #SIKEEE (sic),” Paulina tweeted prior to closing her account.
The 22-year-old aspiring entertainer, posted numerous photos of herself and friends partying in nightclubs, tanning and striking suggestive poses. She first came to public attention at the 2003 Heritage Classic in Edmonton, an outdoors NHL game between the host Edmonton Oilers and the Montreal Canadiens, when she sang I Will Remember You.
Her song Collecting Dust is on the soundtrack to the MTV show Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County.
She has had bit acting roles in the 2009 remake of Fame as “Gorgeous Blonde Senior” and as the deputy in Guns, Girls and Gambling, starring Gary Oldman and Christian Slater.
Her mother, Jones, was a budding actress in the 1980s when she posed on the cover and in a semi-nude pictorial in the March 1987 issue of Playboy magazine.
