WINNIPEG – Many Manitobans are making the most of winter weather this week.

Winnipeg’s annual Jack Frost Challenge started Saturday and aims to keep people active outdoors despite cold temperatures.

“Here in Manitoba we love to complain about the weather but we want people to start to embrace it,” said the challenge coordinator Jaret Olford. “Being outside in the winter is really good for lowering your stress, keeping your body physically active and healthy.”

Teams of up to five people can sign up here to skate, bike, ski, snowshoe, run or walk a total of 130 kilometers from February 7 – 14.
