VANCOUVER – Hemlock Resort has announced it is not opening this season due to a lack of snow.
In a posting on their website, it says “due to warmer than average temperatures, heavy rain and negligible snow, the resort did not receive the necessary conditions to safely open and operate the ski hill.”

More than 200 mm of rain is forecast to fall over the next few days and with no sign of snow in the foreseeable future, the management team at Hemlock Resort and the owners, came to the decision to suspend operations for the balance of the season.
2014/15 seasons pass holders will be able to use them for next season, regardless of any potential price increases. Customers may also choose to get a refund, prior to April 1. All 2014/2015 seasons pass holders wishing to get a refund are asked to contact the mountain directly.
