A 29-year-old man was transported to hospital after his vehicle was involved in a collision with an industrial loader on Saturday.

Saskatoon police were called to the collision at approximately 7:30 p.m. in the westbound lane of Circle Drive North, near the exit onto Preston Avenue North.

Police say the small passenger vehicle collided with the industrial loader causing extensive damage and injury to the lone occupant of the passenger vehicle.

The 29-year-old male occupant who was driving the vehicle, is in stable condition after suffering serious injuries to his head and upper body.

The lone occupant of the loader was not injured.

Police continue to investigate the collision.

The collision occurred near Preston Crossing.
