TORONTO – A man was seriously injured Wednesday afternoon after being struck by a car in Scarborough.
The man was hit near the intersection of Midland Avenue and Finch Avenue shortly before 3 p.m.
The unidentified man, believed to be in his 30s, was taken to hospital with serious head injuries.

Police told Global News the suspect vehicle fled the scene following the collision but was located a short time after. The driver of the car and another person are in custody.
Traffic in the area could be slow for several hours as police investigate what caused the collision.
The TTC 57 route is diverting as a result of the closed intersection.
