REGINA – A worker accused of assaulting a resident at a senior citizen’s home in Regina made her first appearance in court today.
56-year-old Tessie Weigetz is facing charges of assault in an alleged incident at the Santa Maria Senior Citizens Home on December 5th.

A few days later, the home announced that some of its employees had been suspected for alleged neglect and assault.
The home’s executive director said a video of the alleged assault had been passed to police and a third party began an investigation.
Weigetz was given time to consult a lawyer before her next court appearance on February 18th.
