Bridgewater remembers David Wynn, RCMP officer killed in Alberta

HALIFAX – As the funeral of St. Albert RCMP officer Const. David Wynn took place Monday afternoon outside Edmonton, people in Bridgewater, N.S., where Wynn was a paramedic for a decade, gathered to watch it via an online stream.

More than 300 people convened at a local hotel as family, friends and members of the community paid their respects.

“Losing any first responder is a terrible event,” said organizer Dan Hennessy of the Bridgewater Area Chamber of Commerce. “When we lose one of our own, the community really comes together.”
