TORONTO – A Newmarket man has been charged in connection with the death of his two-year-old son.
York Region Police say Mario Wint, 29, faces a charge of second degree murder and is due to appear in court today to face the allegations.
Police say on Thursday they were called to a residence in Newmarket north of Toronto where they found the boy who was not breathing.
The child was taken to hospital and pronounced dead.
Police arrested Wint on Saturday.
Police say they won’t release the cause of death to preserve the integrity of the investigation.
