PENTICTON – A Penticton city councillor is suing her former employer regarding a retirement payment.
Judy Sentes retired in July 2013 after 19 years as the executive director of the Okanagan-Similkameen Neurological Society.
Sentes claims when hired, she was promised a payment upon retirement to partially compensate for her low salary.
However, she says the written agreement and other important records have since been lost.
Sentes is suing for breach of contract or negligent misrepresentation alleging she’s owed $25,000 plus interest.
The Okanagan-Similkameen Neurological Society has not yet filed a Statement of Defence.
