EDMONTON – After trips to Toronto and Houston on official government business, Premier Jim Prentice returned home this week with a fully restored 1956 Ford Thunderbird.
The Premier bought the car for $54,000 USD at the Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale over the weekend, prompting some to criticize the optics of such an expensive purchase while the province struggles to balance the books.
This week, I speak with Matt Dykstra from the Edmonton Sun about the T-Bird, the PST, a start candidate for the NDP and whether the Sky Palace will be an election issue if we go to the polls this spring.
