An organization that provides services for seniors in Vernon has some ambitious expansion plans that could help address the city’s growing need for seniors housing.
The Schubert Centre complex has been providing a wide range of seniors’ services in Vernon for 30 years.

Now it is proposing a new four-storey, 56-unit housing development, which would be built just north of the current building.
Project proponents say seniors housing should be a big priority for city officials.
The next step in the process is a public hearing on December 12.
No word yet on when work on the project may begin.
