The judge rejected the prosecutor’s submission that Rhoades be fined $3500.
Rhoades was ensnared in an enforcement project on the west side of Okanagan lake in November 2013 after the Conservation Officer Service received numerous complaints of illegal hunting in the area.
The judge directed the $400 go to the Habitat Conservation Trust Fund for use in the Okanagan.
