Organizers for the event held a media conference Thursday morning in Spruce Grove, which is one of six new official communities that will host various stages of the race. And it all starts September 2 and runs until the 7th. The race begins with Stage 1’s Team Time Trial in Grande Prairie, and will wind through Jasper National Park, Edson and Spruce Grove before ending in Edmonton’s downtown core.

The world-class event promises to be an exciting finale as cyclists battle it out for top spot.
