EDMONTON – It’s looking more likely that Albertans will be heading to the polls early as the PC party has moved to nominate all 87 candidates by March 15. Premier Jim Prentice hasn’t addressed the possibility directly, only saying that he is leaving all of his options on the table.
An early election would come at a tough time for the Wildrose party, which is in the process of selecting a new leader. The party has said if there is an early vote, interim leader Heather Forsyth would lead the charge.
