Saskatchewan teams battle it out in 2015 BRIT final

SASKATOON – Regina’s Dr. Martin LeBoldus Golden Suns captured the 47th annual Bedford Road Invitational Tournament (BRIT) title, defeating the Holy Cross Crusaders 78-54. High school basketball fans were treated to two Saskatchewan teams in the final Saturday night.

LeBoldus successfully defended their 2014 BRIT title against the Crusaders, who won titles in 1997, 2003 and 2004.

The top scorers of the game were Regina’s Carter Millar with 21 points and Saskatoon’s Joseph Trumpy with 14.

The bronze matchup Saturday was a nail-biter with Quebec’s Stanstead College Spartans coming out on top with a 57-56 victory over Alberta’s Sir Winston Churchill Bulldogs.
