TORONTO — Director Bryan Singer and actress Michelle Clunie announced Monday night they are the proud parents of a baby boy.
“Michelle Clunie and I would like to welcome our beautiful son Dashiell Julius William Clunie-Singer into the world,” read a tweet from Singer.
He also shared a photo of the new parents with their baby inside a Los Angeles hospital room.
Singer, 49, is an openly gay director, producer and writer whose credits include several X-Men movies, Superman Returns and Jack the Giant Slayer.
Singer made last year’s X-Men: Days of Future Past in Montreal during the summer of 2013 and will shoot X-Men: Apocalypse in the city this summer.

Last year, Singer was accused of sexually assaulting a 17-year-old boy during a trip to Hawaii in 1999. The lawsuit was withdrawn in August.
Clunie, 45, lived in Toronto from 2000 to 2005 while starring as lesbian Melanie Marcus in the drama series Queer as Folk.
She has since had guest roles on shows like NCIS and Bones.
Singer and Clunie, who reportedly dated for several years, said last October they were looking forward to co-parenting.
