Police looking for information in sexual assault case

Regina police are hoping someone can identify the suspect in an attempted sexual assault case. Regina Police Service

REGINA – Police are asking for your help to solve an attempted sexual assault case, which happened early Tuesday around 12:30 a.m. on the 3500 block of Avonhurst Drive.

A 19-year-old woman told police a man threatened her with a weapon and tried to sexually assault her. The woman was able to yell for help and scare the man off.

Police are hoping someone can identify the suspect. He’s described as 20 to 30 years old, medium build, about 5 foot 9, black hair, thick lips and acne. He was wearing a checkered pattern coat with a white hood, white shoes with white laces, black gloves, and a black scarf.
