KELOWNA – A man charged after a large drug bust in Kelowna has made his first court appearance.
The investigation started in August when police pulled over a vehicle and found a kilogram each of cocaine and methamphetamine.
Then in October, officers executed simultaneous search warrants at townhouse on Mills Road and a house on Crawford Drive.
“In total, police seized 1.5 kilograms of Cocaine, one kilogram of methamphetamine, 65 grams of Ecstasy, 224 grams of Heroin and 403 grams of Hashish,” says Kelowna RCMP spokesperson Cst. Jesse O’Donaghey.
“The total amount for the entire seizure is in excess of $600,000 in street value.”
The Mounties also confiscated almost $19,000, about 500 rounds of ammunition, body armour and six vehicles.
“The property seized, including the vehicles, is the proceeds of crime,” says O’Donaghey.
Sheldon Durno Harris, 30, is charged with four counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking.
Harris returns to court in January.
