Each year, Google releases a list of the topics we’ve all searched for the most over the past 12 months, revealing the biggest news stories and trends that have captured the public’s imagination.

The search engine’s “Year in Search 2014” looked at trillions of searches made worldwide over the last year from mobile app searches to major news stories such as the Ebola outbreak and the developments in the ISIS conflict in the Middle East.
