Twenty-eight- year old David Daviau is now accused of first degree murder; 29-year-old Kyle Andree is charged with manslaughter and accessory after the fact. Both men were arrested in Ontario after a joint investigation between the RCMP and Calgary police turned up new evidence. Police are still not revealing what that evidence is or what may have motivated the murder.

“It was a long and complex ongoing investigation,” said RCMP Inspector Tony Hamori at a press conference on Monday afternoon. “I can’t go into specifics right now in terms of what the most recent developments were.”

Both men are originally from Ontario but lived in Calgary for some time. They are currently being transported to Alberta and will appear in court on Wednesday.

RCMP say they are still looking for anyone with information to come forward by calling the Calgary RCMP Major Crime Unit at 403-699-2640 or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
