Nanaimo RCMP find puppy stolen from pet store

Police found Hercules at a central Nanaimo home.

A nine-week-old puppy stolen from a Nanaimo pet store is back where he belongs thanks to help from the public.

Acting on a tip, RCMP say they found ‘Hercules’in a central Nanaimo home that was known to police.

The dachshund/chihuahua puppy warmed to officers and posed for photos before being returned to the Paws N Jaws pet store in Nanaimo North Town Centre.
