A nine-week-old puppy stolen from a Nanaimo pet store is back where he belongs thanks to help from the public.
Acting on a tip, RCMP say they found ‘Hercules’in a central Nanaimo home that was known to police.

The dachshund/chihuahua puppy warmed to officers and posed for photos before being returned to the Paws N Jaws pet store in Nanaimo North Town Centre.
Investigators are still looking for information on the person who stole the dog. Anyone with information related to the case is asked to contact Nanaimo RCMP at 250-754-2345 or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. TIPS can be submitted on line at www.nanaimocrimestoppers.com
