TORONTO – How long does it take to get to Pearson International Airport on a Friday morning from the Royal York Hotel? Marianne Dimain is about to find out.
Global News has sent Marianne and two Editorial Assistants on a trip from the downtown hotel to the airport. Each one of them is taking a different mode of transportation; TTC, GO Transit/TTC, and cab.
Metrolinx announced Thursday the Union-Pearson Express train set to open in 2015 will cost $27.50 for a one way 25-minute trip to the airport. The train only goes from Union Station to Pearson International Airport however and has been criticized as being a train for business people and tourists.
So will it be a better commute than the TTC, GO Transit or cab?
