Both were charged with operating without a motor dealer licence and representing one’s self as being a licensed motor dealer without a valid licence.

A joint submission by the Crown and defence led to Athforth pleading guilty to 20 counts of operating without a motor dealer licence. Charges against Yannacoulias were withdrawn.

Athfort Holdings had its licence cancelled in 2008 due to violations of The Weights and Measures Act. Both Yannacoulias and Athfort Holdings remain unlicensed to sell motor vehicles in the province.
