Tributes pour in for murdered B.C.-born actress Stephanie Moseley

VANCOUVER – Tributes are pouring in on social media for B.C.-born actress Stephanie Moseley, who was killed in an L.A. apartment on Monday.

Los Angeles Police Department says an early investigation suggests Moseley was killed in a murder-suicide by her 34-year-old husband, rapper Earl Hayes. He then took his own life.

Moseley, 30, best known as a dancer and actress, is being remembered on social media as a young, beautiful woman with a lot of talent and passion for life. She was best known for her work on Hit the Floor on VH1, but she also performed as a backup dancer for Jennifer Lopez, Beyonce, Chris Brown, Janet Jackson and Britney Spears, among others.

Her Hit the Floor family has set up a Go Fund Me account to raise money for Moseley’s mom, who they say is her only surviving family member. VH1 also released a statement on Monday. “We are incredibly saddened to hear the news of the passing of Stephanie Moseley,” it said. “VH1 and the entire Hit The Floor family send our thoughts and condolences to her family and friends at this difficult time.”
