SASKATOON – Police have a man in custody suspected of robbing a Saskatoon convenience store last month. The armed robbery happened Oct. 7 at the store located in the 1100-block of Central Avenue.
Police say just before midnight, two men entered the store where two female clerks were working. They were armed with bear mace and a firearm and demanded cash before fleeing on foot.
Investigators later found the firearm had been fired into the ceiling of the business. The employees were not hurt.

A 20-year-old man has been charged with robbery, used of a firearm in the commission of a robbery, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and unauthorized possession of a firearm.
He is scheduled to appear in court Thursday morning. His name has not been released.
Police continue to search for the second suspect.
