Armed men rob Saskatoon convenience store

SASKATOON – Employees at a Saskatoon convenience store were held up by two armed men late Tuesday evening.

Police say the two men entered the store in the 1100-block of Central Avenue in the Sutherland neighbourhood around 11:45 p.m.

They were armed with bear mace and a firearm and demanded money.

The pair then fled on foot up 111th Street with an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes.

The two female employees were not injured.

The man carrying the firearm is described as aboriginal, around 5’8” with short dark hair. He was wearing blue jeans and a dark hoodie with red writing on the front.

The second suspect is described as aboriginal, around 5’10” and wearing blue jeans and a hoodie with the hood up.
