TORONTO – A woman in her 40s was taken to hospital with serious injuries after a school bus left the roadway in east Toronto.
The bus lost control shortly after 1:30 p.m. Tuesday near Eglinton Avenue East and Birchmount Road in Scarborough. The bus hit a number of cars as well as a pedestrian before stopping in a ditch.

The woman was taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.
Traffic in the area could be slow for a number of hours as police investigate.
