Brown, 37, worked at a skydiving school in Moab for two months before he disappeared June 29 and had been living in the U.S. for a decade.

His family and friends travelled to Utah in the summer to help with search efforts, scoured social media sites and made public pleas for any information on his whereabouts.

His sister Wendi Tekamp said at the time Brown hadn’t planned to be away.

The Herald reports he had been living in a motorhome outside his boss’ office and left behind his wallet, passport and $4,000 amongst his belongings.

The cause of Brown’s death is not yet public.

The family expressed their appreciation for public support and asked for privacy.

“We treasure the concern and best wishes of so many young people that were touched by Dave’s smile and sense of adventure,” the family wrote.

“Blue skies, Dave. You are so loved and your incredible zest for life will be missed.”
