Kelowna’s “Movember Family” photo day

KELOWNA–It’s Movember “Family Photo” day for a group of well mustachioed men in Kelowna.

For the past four years, the young men from all over western Canada have joined the Movember movement to raise money for prostate cancer research by dressing in ridiculous outfits and showing off their facial hair in an annual photo shoot.

“We pride ourselves on being the most unique fundraiser out there,” says Jeff Roberts, founder and president of Family Photos Kelowna.  “We are not pretty. We are not mild, and we do not do car washes or silent auctions.”

This year, the “Family” has raised more than $6,000 for the cause.

All of the money will be donated to the prostate cancer program at the Sindi Ahluwalia Hawkins Centre for the Southern Interior in Kelowna.
