The driver refused, so Hickie got out of his truck and went up to the window and repeated the request. Hickie said there was a very strong alcohol smell, He grabbed the sleeve of the driver and kept saying ‘put your vehicle in park!’ while hanging onto the driver. The driver again refused and instead hit the gas and sped off.
Hickie managed to get the trucks license plate number and RCMP caught the truck and apprehended the driver down the road.
