RHENEN, NETHERLANDS – A wildlife park in the Netherlands is celebrating the rare birth of a polar bear triplets.
Ouwehands Dierenpark in Rhenen said proud mother Freedom gave birth to her cubs on Saturday.
It added that keepers were keeping a close watch on the happy family via close circuit cameras.
However, the keepers had not yet approached the polar bears, as they did not want to risk upsetting the mother.
As a result, it remains unclear what gender the triplets are or how much they weigh.
The wildlife park, 34 kilometres south-east of Utrecht, said Freedom was an experienced mother and was looking after her offspring well.
