CALGARY- Alberta Occupational Health and Safety is investigating after a man in his 40s was killed on the job in the Carseland area east of Calgary.
A spokesperson with Calgary Emergency Medical Services says they were called to a work site at Township Road 222 and Range Road 250 in the Carseland area around 2 p.m. this afternoon.

They say a crew was working with an excavator to remove concrete blocks when the man was struck by the machinery.
Nobody else was injured.
