KELOWNA — A deadline for the purchase of the former CN rail line between Kelowna and Vernon came and went today, but negotiations are continuing. If a deal is reached, the municipalities of Kelowna, Lake Country, Coldstream, and the Regional District of North Okanagan would spend millions to purchase the right of way, with the goal of turning it into a world class recreation corridor.
