TORONTO – Police Chief Bill Blair will be answering questions from Toronto’s youth at a town hall session on community engagement Wednesday.
The event is part of a “Know Your Rights” meeting with breakout sessions and panel discussions about interactions with police and youth in the community.
Back in 2012, Chief Bill Blair commissioned an internal review of the Toronto Police Service Community Engagement policy with the release of a list of recommendations.
Issues touched on include public accountability, community consultation, human resources and governance.
The recommendations are expected to be implemented by December 2016.
