TORONTO- Former MLB slugger Jose Canseco claims he’ll “soon” attempt to sell his middle finger that he accidentally shot off while cleaning a gun at his Las Vegas home.

Canseco had to have the digit on his left hand surgically re-attached but it fell off last week during a poker game, he said.

The former Oakland Athletics outfielder, a six-time all-star with 462 career home runs, says he’ll attempt to turn a profit on his finger on eBay.

“I will soon put the finger that fell off in the poker tournament on eBay for sale,” Canseco tweeted Monday. “The eBay ad will read slightly used middle finger with 462 home runs could be used as a stirring straw for drinks.”

He also said he plans to sell the gun that did the damage.

Despite Canseco’s claims eBay has a policy that prohibits and the sale of “organs, bones, blood and body fluids.” The website also doesn’t allow the sale of firearms and most gun parts.

Canseco ended his 17-year career with the Chicago White Sox after spending most of his time with the Oakland A’s. He rose to notoriety after admitting to using performance enhancing drugs.
