TORONTO — Two new supernatural TV shows will soon begin production in Vancouver, bringing stars like Jennifer Beals and Dallas Roberts to the city.
Roberts (Dallas Buyers Club) and Clifton Collins Jr. (Pacific Rim), will shoot the pilot for Evil Men around Vancouver from Dec. 3 to 17.
Roberts plays Harry Killas, who is ordered by a supernatural entity to kill “evil men” or see everything he loves destroyed. Collins plays Lazlo Kirk, a war criminal who helps Killas complete his mission.

The pilot is being filmed for USA Network and directed by Gary Fleder (Scorpion, Beauty and the Beast).
Beals returns to Canada in January to start work on the series Proof for U.S. cable channel TNT.
Cameras are scheduled to roll on 10 episodes until April 24. The pilot for the show was also shot in Vancouver.
She plays a surgeon hired by a cancer-stricken millionaire, played by Matthew Modine, to investigate cases of reincarnation and other supernatural phenomena.
The cast includes Sean Gleeson (Cold Mountain), Joe Morton (Scandal), Callum Blue (Royal Pains) and Edi Gathegi (Justified).
Beals, whose breakout role was in 1983’s Flashdance, starred in the Vancouver-shot series The L-Word from 2004 to 2009.
Vancouver is home to a number of TV series, including Arrow, The Flash, Falling Skies, Once Upon a Time and Bates Motel.
