HALIFAX – A 26-year-old man is recovering from minor injuries after being punched in the face during a robbery.
Just after 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, police responded to a robbery at Robyn’s Dairy Bar on Quinpool Road.
Police say a man entered the store and demanded cash from the employee.
The suspect then punched the employee in the face, smashed the cash register and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The employee was treated at the store then released by paramedics.
Police arrested a 34-year-old male suspect three hours later.
The suspect is currently in custody and police say he will face robbery charges.
