TORONTO – A woman was killed and her child was injured after they were struck by a car in Mississauga on Friday.
The incident happened at approximately 5:15 p.m. Friday on Cawthra Road near Bloor Street.

Police said they were struck by the car while crossing Cawthra Road.
The child is believed to be approximately under 12 years old and suffered non-life threatening injuries.
The driver remained at the scene.
Traffic in the slow could be slow for several hours as police investigate.
