Charleswood, Fort Garry residents lose power overnight

WINNIPEG – Manitoba Hydro is investigating an outage that affected some residents of Charleswood and Fort Garry Wednesday night and again early Thursday.

Power to many customers in the areas went out after five feeders that provide electricity to homes went down at about 6 p.m., Manitoba Hydro said.

Power was restored at about 11 p.m. However, power was off for five or 10 minutes again Thursday morning.

Manitoba Hydro officials said they weren’t sure why the feeders failed but they’re investigating.
