Police arrest man at gunpoint outside of Sedley


Police arrested a man at gunpoint yesterday after he allegedly waved a BB shotgun at another car.  

Weyburn RCMP received a 911 call from a man heading south on highway 33 that a man was trying to pass him unsuccessfully because of oncoming traffic but when the man did eventually pass the other vehicle he raised and threatened the other driver with a long barreled shotgun.  

RCMP located and stopped the suspect just outside of Sedley, SK, after ordering the driver out at gunpoint and arresting him  

A search of the vehicle turned up a pistol grip BB shot shotgun and a replica M-16 air soft rifle and a BB Pistol.  

46 year old D Lakeman of Fimore is charged with assault with a weapon, Possession of weapon dangerous public peace, dangerous driving and possession of a controlled substance.
