Kelowna advance polls open until general voting day

KELOWNA – Advance polls for municipal elections open again in Kelowna Wednesday.

Residents can cast their vote for mayor, city councillors and school trustees on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday this week in advance polls. General voting day is on Saturday.

According to the City of Kelowna, the first advance poll last week resulted in 1,540 votes by the time the polls closed at 8 p.m.

“Our first advance voting day generated a lot of interest. The advance poll at Parkinson Recreation Centre had a heavy stream of voters all day,” says Chief Electoral Officer Karen Needham.
