The new Anjou train station was inaugurated on Monday and it’s the latest stop to be added on the soon-to-open Train de l’Est.

The line will be the sixth added to the AMT’s network.

The first trains are scheduled to roll down the tracks between Mascouche and downtown Montreal on December 1, 2014.

It’s big moment for public transit users: the AMT is calling the opening of the $700 line the biggest event for a mass transit system in the province since the expansion of the metro system to Laval.
