Students, soldiers ensure ‘no stone left alone’ at Brandon cemetery

Students and soldiers will work together Monday to make sure no military grave is left undecorated at Brandon Cemetery this Remembrance Day.

Ecole Harrison students and 20 soldiers from CFB Shilo, Man., will place poppies on the graves at 10 a.m. Monday.

No Stone Left Alone started in 2011 with an Edmonton family who would like to see a poppy placed on every soldier’s grave in Canada each Remembrance Day.

The practice has spread to schools across Western Canada, including the Brandon school.
