Edmonton police respond to 231 collisions during Saturday’s snowfall

EDMONTON — Edmonton police were kept busy Saturday as the first major snowfall of the season rolled through the region.

In total, officers responded to 231 collisions. Chad Orydzuk, media relations with the EPS, says no fatal or serious injury collision were reported, but the numbers break down as follows:

  • Property damage: 199
  • Hit and run: 25
  • Injury: 7

One day earlier, police responded to 136 collisions.

While the snow eased off Sunday, the temperatures are expected to fall this week.
