WATCH: Man ‘surfs’ on dead whale while sharks feast on carcass

A 26-year-old Australian man admits he’s an idiot for jumping into shark-infested waters and climbing onto the back of a dead whale.

Harrison Williams was videotaped jumping from his friend’s boat and swimming to the dead whale because one of his friends suggested that it would be “pretty funny” to surf the whale.

Williams, of Quinns Rock north of Perth, says even his parents say he’s an idiot. He told Australia’s Seven News he wasn’t worried because the sharks would be busy eating the whale. He adds he knew it was a stupid thing to do once he was on the whale.

“Definitely not (wouldn’t do it again) … I’ve done it, I don’t need to do it again. Definitely it was a stupid act, didn’t mean to disrespect anyone, mum thinks I’m an idiot, dad’s not too proud either,” Williams told Seven News.
