TORONTO – Toronto voters are set to elect a new mayor after a lengthy campaign period.
Though it’s municipal voting day across Ontario, the mayoral race in Canada’s largest city will be in the spotlight as Torontonians decide whether to extend the Ford family’s reign by choosing Rob Ford’s older brother Doug Ford as their new mayor, give former Ontario Progressive Conservative leader John Tory, or ex-NDP MP Olivia Chow a try.

Despite the fact the Toronto election has dominated headlines for months, not everyone may be ready to cast their ballots. But don’t worry – there’s an app for that. Here are some of the best apps and website for last minute voters:
Pollenize App
If you’ve managed to block out all of the campaign coverage, debates and news stories regarding the candidates don’t worry, you still have time to figure out who you are voting for.
Pollenize – available on desktop, iOS and Android – is a visually appealing app that has tracked the platforms of the leading candidates.

Each candidate’s biography and riding information is featured on the app, as well as their stances on key political issues like transportation, taxes and economic development.
“Pollenize is a non-partisan, apolitical organization seeking to provide residents of Toronto with the most accurate election information possible,” reads the app’s description.
“We strive to ensure factual accuracy by cross referencing each candidate’s statement with their campaign platform.”

City of Toronto “MyVote” website
Okay, now you have chosen who you are voting for. But where do you cast your ballot?
The City of Toronto has a handy website called “MyVote” that allows you to enter your address to find out where your voting station is, if you are on the voters list and a list of candidates running in your ward.

The website even provides you with a sample ballot so you know what to do when you get to the polling station.
Uber
Ride-sharing app Uber is doing its part to help Toronto voters get to their polling stations in time.
On Monday, Uber is offering users free rides to and from their polling station, up to $20 per ride.
Twitter is a great source for information when it comes to up to the minute election updates.
As of Monday morning the hashtags #voteTO, #TOpoli, #Olivia4mayor and “Election Day” were trending on Twitter in Canada.
