PENTICTON, BC – Cary Gray isn’t your typical cyclist – his ride only has one wheel.

The Baltimore man started his trek in his hometown and went as far down as South America, setting a new “longest unicycle trip” Guinness world record.

Gray beat the record after travelling more than 16,000 kilometres on his unicycle. He reached this milestone on April 22, 2014 in Panama.

“I wanted to do this trip on a bike, but then I thought that I wanted something more, and the unicycle took it to the next level,” explains Gray.

But his adventure doesn’t stop at a world record title.

His next destination is to Juno, Alaska to continue his journey.

“It’s always refreshing: new characters, new countries and new challenges,” he says.
