B.C. wine lovers gather to snap up 2008 Bordeaux release

VANCOUVER – Oenophiles gathered in big numbers outside Vancouver’s flagship liquor store overnight in hopes of snagging a choice bottle or two of Bordeaux.

The 2008 release is due to be offered to the public Saturday morning at some of B.C. Liquor Stores’ Signature outlets, with the complete selection available at the 39th and Cambie location.

The lineup at the Cambie store began to grow as early as Friday evening.

Other stores that will be offering some of the new Bordeaux vintage in the Lower Mainland are at Park Royal (West Vancouver), Caulfeild (West Vancouver), Brighouse (Richmond), Thurlow and Alberni (Vancouver), Dunbar (Vancouver) and Peninsula Village (Surrey).

The selection and quantities vary at each location.
