Driver seriously injured in Trans-Canada crash

CALGARY – RCMP say alcohol is being considered as a factor in a serious crash east of Chestermere on Monday.
It happened on the Trans-Canada Highway near Range Road 274, just before 9 p.m.
RCMP say a pick-up truck was travelling eastbound when it collided with a semi-trailer travelling the same direction.
Emergency crews were able to free the driver of the pick-up truck, who was pinned in his vehicle.
He was rushed to hospital with serious and potentially life-threatening injuries.
The name of the driver involved has not yet been released.
