CALGARY – The Alberta Serious Incident Response Team (ASIRT) is investigating an officer-involved shooting in Redcliff.
It happened around 3:30 a.m. on Monday at the Redcliff RCMP Detachment.

According to ASIRT, police were approaching a man when he produced and pointed what appeared to be a firearm.
An RCMP officer shot and injured the man.
He was rushed to hospital with unknown injuries.
The southern Alberta town is located just northeast of Medicine Hat, about three hours from Calgary.
